the sex addicts recovery podcast
About this Podcast
The Sex Addicts Recovery Podcast is a place for those experiencing addiction to connect through weekly conversations about the realities of recovery without judgement or shame.
We welcome all listeners whether you suffer from addiction or are someone who offers support to those struggling with these daily challenges.
The conversations in this podcast are rooted in the principles of Sex Addicts Anonymous®, a fellowship of people who are recovering from sex addiction.
SAA is a spiritual program based on the Twelve Steps and Twelve Traditions of Alcoholics Anonymous. This podcast is fully funded by the Bay Area Intergroup of SAA (BAISAA, Inc.), who manages the business of SAA in the San Francisco Bay Area.
About Jason, The Host
I walked into my first SAA meeting in November of 2002. It changed my life. After decades of silently struggling with addictive behaviors, I was suddenly not alone. Not only did an entire community of regular people just like me exist, they were there to help guide us out of darkness to a place of purpose and hope.
While my path to sobriety has been difficult and imperfect, I could not have come this far without folks who’ve shared my experience and understand what I’ve gone through. SAA gave me the tools of the Twelve Steps, but the fellowship of our meetings gave me the sense of belonging and emotional safety net I needed to succeed. I want everyone to experience how amazing that feels.
This podcast has been a long-time dream of mine as a way of carrying the message of SAA beyond the traditional meeting format. Storytelling is powerful; having honest conversations with those in recovery not only legitimizes the struggles of sex addiction but helps strengthen our community. And we need deep connection more than ever.
Ready to share your story?
If you’re interested in being a guest, we’d love to hear from you. Recovery stories have incredible power to heal—both for the person sharing and for those listening.
Since this is an SAA podcast, we follow the Twelve Steps Twelve and Traditions of Sex Addicts Anonymous®. Our focus is on the stories of addicts and the program of SAA. As addicts in recovery, we do talk about therapy & other outside help during our conversations; however, we are not here to promote outside causes or issues such as books, podcasts, treatment centers, other recovery programs, etc.
If you have any questions about the guest process, anonymity protections, or what to expect, please don’t hesitate to reach out. We’re here to make this experience as comfortable and meaningful as possible for you.
